COVID Update – DWA Meet #1

We hope everyone is safe and well during this difficult time, with both lockdown and now the bushfire threat East of Perth. While we continue to wait for updated information regarding the COVID situation, we have extended the entries for DWA Meet #1 to Monday 8th February.

WA COVID Lockdown - Term 1 Diving

Following the updated COVID situation in WA and the 5 day lockdown, there will be no diving training this week (1st - 5th February).

2021 SSWA Diving Championships

School Sport WA, in conjunction with Diving WA, are again running the School Sport WA Diving Championships at HBF Stadium on Wednesday 17th (Secondary) and Thursday 18th (Primary) March.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

On behalf of the Board and Staff at Diving WA we wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. The Diving WA office will be closed from Saturday 19th Dec - Sunday 3rd Jan. We look forward to seeing everyone back in 2021.

Contact Tracing - Diving

From Wednesday 2nd December HBF Stadium will commence trialling contact tracing, with full operation by Saturday 5the December.

DWA Development Officer Announcement

Diving WA is excited to announce that following the recruit process, Rachel Burrows has been appointed the Development Officer for Diving WA.

Two New Board Members and a Hall of Fame Inductee for Diving WA

At the Diving WA Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Saturday 24th October, Jaco Rousseau and Phil Ward were elected by the members to the Diving WA Board. Both positions became vacant following the retirement of long-standing Board members Mel McCoy and Fiona Galvin.

DWA Annual Awards 2020 - Cancelled

Following what has been a challenging 2019-20 season, the Board and Honours and Awards Committee have decided to cancel this year’s Annual Awards.

West Aussies Shine at Diving Australia 2019 Annual Awards

The Diving Australia Annual Awards took on a different format this year during the global pandemic, but it was still gold, gold, gold for WA representatives, taking home half of the awards presented during the Facebook Live event. Eliza Cole and Lorraine Keeney were both awarded Excellence in Volunteering for 2019, while Maddison Keeney took home the 2019 Female Athlete of the Year.
