Pacific School Games - Day 4 update

Wednesday saw 5 of our divers competing. Highlights were Sophie Debenham, girls 13-14 Synchro. Sophie Did a great job in the 16 yrs girls 1m coming 7th showing the field and judges her potential.

Holiday Splash - January Holiday Program - ENROLL NOW!

Diving WA’s NEW Holiday Splash Program is an introduction to diving in a fun and safe environment, supervised by trained coaches. Kids will combine elements of trampolining, gymnastics, tumbling, swimming and acrobatics, in wet and dry training to give them the full diving experience. Ideal for 6-14 years of age and must be able to swim a minimum of 10m confidently in deep water. Why not give diving a go. Register today!

Pacific School Games - Day 3 update - BRONZE FOR REYNOLDS

Day 3 of competition saw 6 of our divers competing. The outstanding performance of the day was Jack Reynolds in the 3m winning bronze. He started off strong and finished well. We are very excited to have a medal in the diving and from one of our youngest athletes.

Diving begins at Pacific School Games

The diving will get under way today and will continue right through the week till Saturday 28th November at the 2015 Pacific School Games in Adelaide, SA.

2015 DWA Annual Awards

On Saturday 14th November Diving WA held their Annual Awards night at the Cambridge Bowling Club in Floreat. The night was a chance to recognise all of the Diving WA members, State and National Representatives, Champions and Perpetual Trophy winners.

New Board for 15/16

Diving WA held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 17th October at the Department of Sport and Recreation head Office at 3pm. This was the first AGM held under the new governance structure, which saw members voting directly for the first time.

Layne Beachley Foundation 'Aim For The Stars' 2016 scholarship program is now open

The Foundation offers scholarships nationally to girls and women striving to fulfil their potential in a chosen field of pursuit, whilst becoming a beacon in their community for motivation and inspiration. Over the last 12 years we've have proudly granted over 400 scholarships to girls and women across a broad range of pursuits – including leadership and business, sport, culture and community development, science and technology, the arts and environment and sustainability.

Diving WA engaging with Schools

During Term 3, Diving WA engaged with 6 schools and more than 500 students through our 'Unearthing Future Champions' program.

Dare to Dive TID Testing Day a RIPper

Diving WA, in partnership with Diving Australia recently held the Dare to Dive TID Testing Day, with 37 divers participating on Sunday 20th September 2015.

2016 Women Leaders in Sport grant program now open

The WLIS grant program is an Australian Government initiative that is managed by the Australian Sports Commission in partnership with the Office for Women. The objective of the WLIS grant program is to provide female administrators, coaches and officials with opportunities to undertake intermediate or advanced training within an existing pathway in the sports industry to reach their leadership potential.

Eliza Cole has made it three from three, claiming her third Gold medal in the Women's 25-29 age group, 10 metre Platform Final at the 16th FINA World Masters Championships in Kazan last week.
