HBF Dive Tower Refurbishment - Day 71

Day 71 of the Dive Tower Refurbishment at HBF Stadium. A slight set back saw the need for the pool to be drained, cleaned and then refilled.

Welcome Home Olympians Celebrations

The Welcome Home Celebrations for the 2016 Australian Olympic Team are in full swing and this weekend is Perth's turn! Get down to Forrest Place in the City from 12pm on Sunday 4th September to welcome the team home.

Australian Sports Foundation assisting Diving WA

Diving WA has established the Diving WA Foundation, in association with the Australian Sports Foundation. The charitable DGR status allows donors and benefactors to donate to various diving fundraising efforts annually.

HBF Dive Tower Refurbishment - Day 50

Day 50 of the Dive Tower Refurbishment at HBF Stadium and the scaffolding is starting to come down! The painting has been completed and the stairs and railings are being put back on the tower. Next will be laying the non-slip matting and final touches.

Divers ready to spring into Tokyo

Australia’s women’s three-metre springboard competitors Maddison Keeney (WA) and Esther Qin have finished fifth and sixth respectively in the Olympic final at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Centre in Rio today.

HBF Dive Tower Refurbishment - Day 32

Day 32 of the Dive Tower Refurbishment at HBF Stadium and concrete works are now happening on all platforms.  The stairs are currently off site being cleaned, repaired and powder coated and are due to be back in the coming weeks. Venues West have reported all works are on track and we are looking forward to the tower returning to action in September.

Introduction to Olympic Diving

Who: 136 athletes from 29 countries over eight events What: Men’s and women’s individual and synchro events Where: Maria Lenk Aquatic Centre When: Days 2 – 5 and 7 – 15 Diving sees athletes compete individually or in tandem, from springboard or platform attempting to execute intricate acrobatics mid-air, before entering the pool in vertical form with as minimal splash as possible.
