Western Australians Set for Junior Nationals

This weekend Perth will play host for the 2017 Australian Elite Junior Diving Championships, where a number of young Western Australian diving talents will be competing to take out a National Championship title.

WAIS athletes Nikita Hains, Tamara Irvine and Teju Williamson will all be going head-to-head in the Girls Junior A Platform event which is scheduled to take place on Sunday the 9th of July.

Irvine will also contest the Girls Junior A 3m title tomorrow, the 7th of July.

Several other Western Australian divers will also be competing over the weekend in the Girls Junior B and C events as well as the NEPP events. 

The 2017 Australian Elite Junior Diving Championships will take place at HBF Stadium over three days.

In the lead up to the competition there has been three training days to be utilized by competitors as they choose.

After promising performances from Irvine, Hains and Williamson earlier this year at the Australian Diving Championships, the trio will be looking to dominate the junior competition this weekend.
