WA Opens Success
Published Fri 26 May 2017
The WA Team have completed one of our most successful Open Championship results in recent years, finishing with 3 Gold and 2 Bronze Medals at the 2017 Australian Open Championships in Sydney.
Maddison Keeney fell just short of a rare springboard sweep today, taking the Bronze medal in the Womens 3m Springboard with a score of 332.90 behind Syncro partner Anabelle Smith (VIC 344.50) and Esther Qin (NSW 347.15). Tamara Irvine improved on her Semi Final form, finishing 7th with a score of 256.20.
Keeney is now well placed to gain potential selection for the upcoming 16th FINA World Championships in Hungary later in July this year.
The Championships conclude tonight with the Diving Australia Annual Dinner.
