WA Diver's shining bright on the World Stage
Published Wed 13 Apr 2016
WA Divers Teju WIlliamson and Maddison Keeney both performed well at the recent 2016 Canada Cup.
Williamson continued her great 2016 form, reaching the semis in the Womens Platform event narrowly missing the final, and then again with Taneka Kovchenko, finishing fourth in the Womens Platform Synchro.
Keeney teamed up with Anabelle Smith for the Womens 3 metre Synchro event where they claimed Bronze in a world class field.
Williamson will now return to Perth to begin preparations for the upcoming 2016 Australian Open Championships in May which is also the Olympic Qualifying event, while Keeney will continue on with the Australian Senior Team in Canada for the next FINA World Series meet, followed by the Russia FINA World Series meet.
Nikita Hains and WAIS Head Coach Mathew Helm are also currently abroad with the Australian Junior Team, where they will compete in the Amsterdam Diving Cup from the 14th-17th April, then onto the Dresden International Youth Diving meet from the 21st-24th April. Best of luck to Australian Junior Team
