WA Claims 3 Top Awards at 2016 Australian Age Championships

Sam Tulk, Mercedes Carnevali and Diving WA have taken out three top awards from the 2016 Australian Age Championships, awarded Sunday 17th April at the Age Presentations in Sydney.
Sam was awarded the 12/13 years Male Age Diver of the Year in what was an outstanding personal performance. Sam claimed Gold in the 1m and 3m Springboard events and Silver in the Platform and Synchro events (partnering with Jack Reynolds).
Mercedes was awarded the Junior Age Coach of the Year, following some great performances from her divers Jack Reynolds, Sophie Vassileff, Caitlin Wagstaff and Abbie Perin. Mercedes also competed at the championships as a diver, claiming Bronze in the 19-29 years Womens Platform event and Silver in the 19+ Womens Synchro (partnering with Emma Lynch).
With all of the great performances, including many personal bests from the team at these championships, Diving WA was awarded the Club of the Year. This award is decided by the total of points earned by the athletes of each club/state. (WA is eligible for this award due to our current structure).
