Pacific School Games - Day 7 and wrap up

Pacific School Games - updates from WA Team coach Mike Tinley - Day 7 and Wrap up
This once again was a highlight of the week where the divers had to dive in a 4 member synchro team. Each diver had to dive with each team member and saw the divers have a lot of fun as expected.
The great news is that Sophie Debenham and her team won a gold medal. Unfortunately Sally Cream came 4th once again with her team. Which makes Sally extremely unlucky at the games with three 4th places.
After the closing ceremony the divers enjoyed a tour of Haighs Chocolate Factory and free samples followed by spending some of their pocket money on hand made chocolates.
The final night in South Australia was spent in Glenelg at Jetty restaurant before walking along the Glenelg Jetty and mixing with some street performers. The tram ride from Glenelg back to the city completed the night and an understanding into how to get around Adelaide.
Sunday 29th
The divers and coaches finally had a well deserved sleep-in before checking out and heading off to a fun morning at Ten Pin Bowling/Laser Scurmish/arcade games. Lunch and a walk along the Torrens River completed our Adelaide City experience.
I have been proud of this team and their behaviour. No incidents and nothing but compliments and jealousy from other team officials. Great job as they represented themselves, their families and their state.
Regards,
Mike Tinley
