NOTICE OF 2017 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

In accordance with section 13.1(b) of the Western Australian Diving Association Inc. “Constitution”, notice is given of the 2017 Annual General Meeting to be held at:

Time:    Arrive 9:15am

Open 9:30am (sharp)

In accordance with section 18 of the Constitution, only financial Adult Diving, Non-Diving and Life Members with Diving WA for the 2017/18 Season are eligible to vote, should a vote be required.

Positions to be elected:

Diving WA Board              Two (2) Elected Directors each for a three (3) year term.

NOTICES OF MOTION

A form for Notices of Motion to be considered at the 2017 AGM is attached.

In accordance with section 15 of the Constitution, Notices of Motion are to be submitted to the Diving WA Chief Executive Officer before 5pm, Wednesday 11^th October 2017.

Late Notices of Motion cannot be accepted.

NOMINATIONS FOR ELECTED DIRECTOR

A nomination form for Directors to be elected at the 2017 AGM is attached and are to be submitted to the Diving WA Chief Executive Officer before 5pm, Wednesday 11^th October 2017.

In accordance with section 22.2(c) of the Constitution, nominations for Elected Directors shall be:

• in writing;

• on the prescribed form (if any) provided for that purpose;

• signed by a witness, who shall be a member of Diving WA over the age of 18 years; and

• certified by the nominee (who must be a member of Diving WA over the age of 18 years) expressing a willingness to accept the position for which they have applied.

The 2017 meeting will elect two (2) Elected Directors each for a three (3) year term. The voting will be conducted by a ballet and results will be determined by a majority of votes.

Late Nominations cannot be accepted.

NOMINATIONS FOR LIFE MEMBERS

In accordance with section 5.4 of the Constitution, the Diving WA Board may nominate a person who has rendered distinguished or special service to the sport of diving at the state level, for Life Membership. The nomination must be on the prescribed form (if any) and must be submitted to the Diving WA Chief Executive Officer by 5pm, Wednesday 11^th October 2017.

The nomination for Life Member shall be considered at the 2017 AGM. A resolution of the Annual General Meeting to confer Life Membership must be passed by Special Resolution. The vote on such resolution will be taken by secret ballot.

Late Nominations cannot be accepted
