Published Tue 20 Oct 2015

Diving WA held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 17th October at the Department of Sport and Recreation head Office at 3pm. This was the first AGM held under the new governance structure, which saw members voting directly for the first time.

Diving Australia CEO David Bell also made the trip over to attend and witness the coming together of the new structure.

Diving WA would like to thank all those who nominated for the Elected Director positions, and congratulate Jo Furness, James Williamson and Melanie McCoy who were voted and accepted to the new board.

The group will meet in the coming weeks to determine the skills sets needed to fulfill the two Independent Director positions on the board, and determine who of the 3 will take the role of President.

Also a thank you to retiring board members Richard Carcenac, Kyle Goodwin for their involvement with the association over the past few years and wish them all the best into the future.

A special thank you to retiring President, Lisa Barrow, who has been involved with Diving for more than 40 years in various roles, and most recently as President of the association. We hope you all keep in touch and dont venture too far from the sport of Diving.
