Keeney finishes strongly in Kazan
Published Mon 03 Aug 2015
Maddison Keeney has finished her FINA World Championship campaign strongly overnight, teaming up with Grant Nel to finish fourth in the 3m mixed synchro final.
The paid were sitting in the bronze medal position for much of the competition but finished a close fourth. A fantastic effort considering the two have barely dived together.
Keeney also finished 7th in the 3m Women's Springboard Final, with Esther Quinn finishing 4th. Keeney again notched the highest scoring dive of the final, but baulked on her second dive causing a deduction.
Congratulations to Keeney and the Diving Australia team on a great showing at the FINA World Championships.
