Keeney crowned WA Diver of the Year
Published Mon 20 Nov 2017
Maddison Keeney has added to her list of accolades for 2017, taking out the 2017 Diving WA Diver of the Year at the Annual Awards Breakfast on Sunday 19th November at the Hotel Rendezvous Perth Scarborough.
The Women’s 1m Springboard World Champion said she was, “extremely grateful to be able to receive this award even after moving to Brisbane, as I still consider WA to be my home, and I am always proud to represent our state. Thank you everyone that has supported me throughout these last few years and to everyone at WA diving that makes it such a great organisation.”
Keeney was unable to be at the awards as she is currently finishing her university degree and preparing for the Commonwealth Games Trials which will be held on the Gold Coast from the 14th-17th December.
This year’s awards saw over 100 people from the WA Diving community attend to recognise the achievements of athletes across all levels from what has been a busy and successful 2017.

Congratulations to those who were recognised and thank you to those who assisted with the event.
