The Western Australian Diving Association Incorporated (Diving WA) is the State Sporting Association for springboard and platform diving in Western Australia. Diving WA has a clear vision to be ‘A sport of choice for Western Australians’. Underpinning this vision and our purpose of ‘increasing awareness of Diving in WA and to promote participation and success in the sport’ is the 2018-2022 Strategic Plan which outlines key outcomes, goals and strategies across four pillars within Diving WA - Governance & Management, Sport Development, High Performance & Facilities.
Reporting to the Diving WA Chief Executive Officer, the Development Officer is responsible for assisting in the development and growth of the sport including participation, school engagement and pathways.

Selection Criteria
-
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.

Experience in the development and promotion of grass roots sport.
-
Experience in program development member engagement.
-
Knowledge of not-for-profit organisations and the Australian sporting landscape (knowledge specific to diving is desirable but not essential).

Experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
-
Strong computer literacy skills.
-
Current WA Working with Children Card/ Police Clearance Certificate.

Current Australian drivers’ licence.
The position is a part-time role working 20 hours per week (days subject to agreement). It is a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension. A salary of $56,250 pa pro-rata, plus superannuation, will be offered to the successful candidate. Applicants must provide:
