Hains Books Ticket to Kiev

Nikita Hains has been selected for the FINA World Junior Diving Championships Team to be held in Kiev, Ukraine from the 23rd-29th July, following her great performance at the 2018 Australian Elite Junior Championships in Hobart over the weekend. A fantastic effort and congratulations to Nikita.

The Team was announced last night, along with the awards from the Championships. Hayley Galvin was rewarded for a fantastic meet, being selected in the National Emerging Talent Squad, and Ellyarn Granland was awarded the NEPP Level 2 Diver of the Meet. Well done girls!

The final day of competition saw the team come away with 2 Gold and 2 Bronze . Granland got the ball rolling and locked up her diver of the meet award, taking out the NEPP Level 2 Synchro (136.20) with Samantha Scarr (NSW). Jade Rousseau and Makisha Smith also came away with the Bronze (127.80).

Nikita Hains them put the stamp in her passport, taking out the Girls Junior A Platform with a score of 432.00, almost 60 points ahead of her nearest rival. Sophie Ross dived well to finish 8th (285.55).

Zoe Langtry (391.90) and Chelsea Bosch (368.95) also dived well to finish 4th and 5th respectively in the Girls Junior B 1m.

Closing out the weekend for the WA team was the Junior C Girls in the 3m. Hayley Galvin (301.80) finished 8th, Jemima Officer (279.25) 11th and Georgia Williams (276.05) 12th.

Well done to all of the athletes and coaches on a fantastic championships. The team finished with 3 Gold , 1 Silver and 7 Bronze.
