EOI for Diving WA Nominations Committee

Diving WA Board are looking to establish a Nominations Committee and in turn asking for expression of interest from Independent (non-members) individuals to become a selected Committee member.
The Diving WA Nominations Committee (Committee) will provide The Western Australian Diving Association Incorporated (Diving WA) Board with advice and recommendations on appointments to the Board of Directors and Board performance.
The Committee will provide to the Diving WA Board, independent and objective reviews, advice and assistance in developing Board policy and monitoring ongoing Diving WA activities. Namely on the appointment of Board members, assessing Board performance, succession planning, and diversity of Board membership.
Committee members will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- Committee members will be able to demonstrate experience in some of the following:
- Knowledge and understanding of contemporary governance practices.
- Previous experience as a non-executive director on a not-for-profit board.
- Understanding of board diversity and Women in Leadership Targets.
- Background in Human Resources, that may or may not include recruiting.
- Experience in, or understanding of, the role of an advisory committee.
