Harriet Jones appointed as DWA National Talent Coach

Diving WA is excited to announce that following the recruitment process, Harriet Jones has been appointed the National Talent Coach for Diving WA.

Harriet comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience, coaching for the past eight years with the City of Leeds Diving Club, where she has worked under current Australian National Coach Ady Hinchliffe, and former Diving WA Coach (same role) Joe Meszaros.

During this time Harriet has coached and developed athletes from learn to dive through to junior elite level, and has also planned and implemented schools and talent identification programs. Over the past four years she has also helped and coached athletes to secure a place on the Swim England Diving Team Programs.

In addition to her coaching skills, Harriet has also gained further Professional Development qualifications and had experience mentoring coaches within the pathways.

Harriet said she is, “super-excited to start in the role of National Talent Coach and I am looking forward to being a part of the Diving WA family”.

Diving WA CEO Steven Rose said that, “Harriet’s appointment is fantastic for Diving WA. She brings great knowledge and skills to the role and will work well with the athletes, parents and coaches throughout all of our programs.”

“We are excited to welcome Harriet to the WA Diving community and look forward to her arriving in December 2019”.
