Rachel Burrows appointed as the DWA Development Officer

Diving WA is excited to announce that following the recruit process, Rachel Burrows has been appointed the Development Officer for Diving WA.

Rachel comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience, having worked the last nine years with British Swimming where she was part of the World Class Operations team supporting all aquatic disciplines. She was also the Team Manager for the GBR Diving Team for major international competitions. Rachel said she is, “looking forward to working with the Diving WA team and assisting in the development and growth of the sport across WA.”

Diving WA CEO Steven Rose said that Rachels appointment is, “fantastic for Diving WA. Her knowledge and skills around program and team management at a National level are exceptional and we look forward to her involvement with the association.”

“Strategically we have been working towards a role such as this for a number of years and this has now become possible through Sector Support for Resilient Organisations funding thanks to Lotterywest and the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.”

The part-time role will assist DWA in the development and growth of the sport including participation, school engagement and pathways. Rachel will begin in the role in Late November 2020.
