Diving WA needs your help!

Published Tue 04 Jun 2019

Diving WA have a few big goals in 2019 and beyond, most are in the water and one of our big ones is to help our athletes continue to grow, prosper and succeed in the sport. Without continual growth and development, Diving WA will fall behind, so it is of absolute importance that we start now to ensure we’re a leader in the sport, both on and off the field.

To reach our goal we are calling on our passionate ASF community to help us to raise funds for further equipment upgrades to our dryland training area. The dryland training area is crucially important to our athlete’s development, and the ongoing upgrade and introduction of new training equipment goes a long way to assist this. We have seen further growth in membership during the 2018/19 season and this will continue to increase the need for more equipment.

Thanks to last year’s generous donations through this fund, and further funding from VenuesWest, we were able to upgrade several our landing, stretching and crash mats. There are still however a few other items needed for the daily training environment, such as boxes, trampolines and protective matting.

This year we are looking to raise another $15,000 to make these necessary and significant upgrades and addition of equipment. If we are successful in achieving this, the good news is that further funds raised will go towards our larger goal of a new standalone, FINA standard dryland training centre ($1.5 million).

Diving WA is made up of multiple squads and programs across multiple pathways, but despite these differences we are all part of one club, one association and share one goal.
