COVID-19 Update - 20.3.20

Published Fri 20 Mar 2020

The Prime Minister announced today further tightening of the social distancing rules for gatherings of less than 100 people.

The rule is now 4 square metres (2m long, 2m wide) distancing for every person, effective immediately.

Information has been sent to the coaches to ensure the athletes (and they) are adhering to this.

This includes where bags are kept, stretching, dryland, pool deck, showers, tower and the water.

Athletes are also reminded to bring two towels to training – one for pool use and one for dryland use, and to please use the hand sanitiser which is located on pool deck near the grandstand stairs at the tower end, when arriving at training and before leaving.

The advice from HBF Stadium is that they are remaining open and we can continue to operate, and Diving Australia’s position remains that if the pool is open then continue to operate, providing it is done within the safe guidelines.

Please remember:

  • The decision to attend training must be an individual decision for an athlete and his/her family (and communicated as such).
  • If you, your child or another member of your household are sick, please DO NOT come to training.
