Aquatic Sports to make a splash in the Goldfields

Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre in Kalgoorlie is set to come alive from the 29th August - 9th September with COME & TRY WEEKS in a range of aquatic sports.
Sports include Swimming (Juniors and Masters), Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Waterpolo, Triathlon, and also training and accreditation courses through AUSTSWIM and Royal Life Saving.
Goldfields Splash is a collaboration of the aquatics sports to provide opportunities for the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Community to try different aquatic sports and is supported by the Department Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.
Diving WA will be running school sessions on the 30th and 31st August, followed by Go For 2&5 Learn to Dive sessions on Saturday 1st September at Goldfields Oasis.
The Go For 2 & 5 Learn to Dive sessions are an introduction to diving in a fun and safe environment, supervised by trained coaches. Kids (6-14 years) will combine elements of trampolining, gymnastics, tumbling, swimming and acrobatics, in wet and dry training to give them a taste of diving. Each child attending will have the opportunity to try diving in a 1½ hour session which will include fun circuits and activities.
What to bring: Sports shoes, T Shirts & shorts/ tights for poolside training, Swimming trunks/ costume (one piece preferred), Towel, Drink bottle.
The Diving sessions are FREE (pool entry to be paid on arrival to Goldfields Oasis Recreation Centre) and will run from:
- 9:00 - 10:30am
- 11:00am - 12:30pm
- 1:00 - 2:30pm
