2 West Aussies on World Cup Team
Published Mon 28 May 2018
Congratulations to Maddison Keeney and Teju Williamson who have been selected for the FINA World Cup team and will be heading to China on Monday. Congratulations to all of the divers who made the team.
The 2018 Australian FINA World Cup Team
Williamson dived exceptionally well to take out the Womens 10m Platform title at the 2018 Australian Open Diving Championships over the weekend, and will dive in this event along side her synchro partner, Melissa Wu at the World Cup.
Keeney, who was unable to dive at the Open Championships as she continues her recovery from injury, was granted special consideration and has been selected for the World Cup team and is ready and raring to go in the Womens 3m Springboard.
Keeney was also recognised for her achievements from the previous season, which included being crowned the 1m Springboard World Champion, taking out the Diving Australia Best Female Diver for 2017. A fantastic reward for a great season and well done to Maddi.
