National Integrity Framework

WHAT IS THE NATIONAL INTEGRITY FRAMEWORK?

The National Integrity Framework is a suite of policies that sets out rules for unacceptable behaviour in our sport and changes the way Complaints about breaches of these rules are managed. The Framework was developed by the independent government agency Sport Integrity Australia in consultation with sports to keep sports safe and fair. The Framework is a set of rules that all members of Diving WA need to follow when it comes to behaviour and conduct in our sport.

Four core policies make up the National Integrity Framework.  Diving Australia's National Integrity Framework applies to all activities organised or authorised by Diving Australia or a member organisation.  Diving Western Australia is a member organisation of Diving Australia.  The NIF policies are:

1. Safeguarding Children and Young People Policy

2. Member Protection Policy

3. Competition Manipulation and Sports Gambling Policy

4. Improper Use of Drugs and Medicines Policy

These core policies are underpinned by the Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy.

As of 1st March 2024, Diving Western Australia members are bound by the Diving Australia National Integrity Framework policies, which can be found here:

Diving Australia (incorporates DWA) National Integrity Framework Policies

All other Complaints under the National Integrity Framework can be made to your sport (Diving WA and/or Diving Australia), who will handle these Complaints under the Complaints, Disputes and Discipline Policy. This means, whether a Complaint is handled by Sport Integrity Australia or your sport, there is a consistent process for handling Complaints
