Warrilow-Sproule Cup 2021

The Warrilow-Sproule Cup is an exciting 2 day knockout event where athletes compete 5 dives from the 3m springboard. All 5 dives must be from a different group.
Along with this historical event, there will also be Age Qualifiers, Junior Qualifiers, Skills Champs and a Novice Challenge event.
REGISTRATIONS CLOSE SUNDAY 28th November 2021
Late Entries will incur a late fee and athlete diving by invitation (invitation for Warrilow-Sproule) - Late Entries close Wednesday 1st December 2021
Divers must submit their dives on DiveRecorder by close of business on Wednesday 1st December 2021.
If you are unsure of your dives for these events, or which competition to enter please discuss with your coaches.
The Synchro WA on the 4th and 5th December has now been cancelled, but the Warrilow-Sproule Cup will still run as follows:
- Saturday 4th December will be a half day (8am-12pm)
- Sunday 5th December will be a full day (8am-TBC)
- Learn to Dive classes on Saturday 4th December are BACK ON! (12-2pm)
- There will be NO Entry Squad Saturday 4th December (as normal for competition weekends - Entry Squad athletes to enter Novice Challenge)
- There will be NO Adults/Teens Program on Sunday 5th December

Warrilow Sproule Cup
Divers are seeded (depending on number of athletes entered). Of recent years we have used the first round as the seeding round.
Round 1 is a ranking round where the top 8 athletes progress to the next round and those athletes finishing 9th and higher go through to the Consolation Plate.
Round 2 (Quarter Finals) will be 1 v 8, 5 v 4, 3 v 6 and 7 v 2. Winning athletes will progress to Round 3 Semifinals and defeated athletes going through to Round 4, Finals of the Consolation Plate.
Round 3 (Semi-Finals) will be 1 v 4 and 3 v 2 . Winners of the 2 pairs will go through to Round 5 the Warrilow-Sproule Cup, defeated athletes are out of the competition.
Round 4 Finals of the Consolation Plate (divers from Round 1 and defeated athletes from Round 2). 1st placed athlete is the winner of Warrilow-Sproule Consolation Plate
Round 5 Finals of the Warrilow-Sproule Cup (Final 2 athletes from Round 3, 1 v 2). Winner receives the Warrilow-Sproule Cup.
Age Qualifiers
- For athletes in the Age Pathway.
- Athletes will compete in their relevant age group (Age as at the end of the year of the next National Championships - 2022).
- Information on dives for the relevant age groups can be found here.
Junior Qualifiers
- For athletes in the Elite Pathway.
- Athletes will compete in their relevant Junior Elite group (Age as at the end of the year of the next National Championships - 2022).
- Information on dives for the relevant age groups can be found here.
Novice Challenge and Skills Champs
- Open to all athletes in the Age and Elite Pathway.
- An all-round competition, with dryland, poolside and water skills. The focus of the champs is building a strong technical base for development athletes.
- Skills Champs - Advanced National
- This event is designed to prepare a diver for Australian Age Championships or Australian Elite Junior Championships.
- A diver will compete in this event until they are ready to meet the requirements of their target Championships (age or elite).
- Coaches will inform divers which events to enter and when ready to enter.
