FUNdamentals Coaching Course
Saturday 18th May 2024 -14:00 pm-16:30 pm
Presenters: Kamyar Kazemi -Diving WA National Talent Coach & Tony Ally - Diving WA Program Manager & Coach
This course is for anyone who is interested in becoming a Diving Coach. It is a great basic coach entry course that complements school / uni education in the sporting sector. Great opportunity to give back experience and passion to the next generation. Awesome way to earn whilst learning :-)
The course fee is $55.00 per particiapant (inc. GST)
Once successful accreditation has been achieved, coaching as part of the WA Diving 'Go for 2&5 Learn to Dive programs' can be offered as paid employment
Participants must be a minimum 16 years of age and must be register as a member with Diving WA
All participants must complete the Pre-Course requirements in advance, and attend the course in person at HBF Stadium on Sunday 18th May.
Registrations Close Wednesday 15th May 2024
Minimum numbers must be met for the course to go ahead

Who is this for?
- People who want to be Coaches
- Non-divers who can inject fun into any type of learning
- Former divers who want to stay involved in the sport
- Anyone aged 16 or over
What will your Fundamental Accreditation give you?
- Knowledge of how to coach safely and with Child Protection at the forefront of what you do
- Class management skills
- Lesson plans and an ability to create your own
- Diving Skills from the poolside – forward jumps, back jumps, forward dives, back dives, forward somersaults, jumps with twist
- Basic diving skills from the 1-metre board – forward jumps, forward entries
- A certificate of accreditation from Diving Australia
COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPANTS PRIOR TO THE COURSE:
- Completion of Diving Australia's Fundamentals E-Learning Resources (links and passwords will be sent to you upon registration of this course)
- Completion of following Sport Integrity Australia Online Courses:
- Child Safeguarding in Sport Induction - Sport Integrity Australia eLearning
- Competition Manipulation and Sports Betting online course Sport Integrity Australia eLearning
- Decision Making in Sport online course Sport Integrity Australia eLearning: Log in to the site
- First Aid + CPR (HLTAID011) through a provider of your choice
- Working With Children Check
